Division poster proposals CLOSED on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 5 p.m. ET
All APA 2023 division poster proposals must be submitted online through call for proposals platform by Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 5 p.m. ET. If you do not already have an account, you will be asked to create one and complete your contact profile before starting.
You can save your proposal(s) and return to them at a later time. After you have submitted your final proposal, you can still make edits through the platform until the January 10 deadline.
APA 2023 posters may be presented in person or virtually.
In Person
In the poster hall, 4’ (122cm) high and 6’ (183 cm) wide boards mounted on stands will be provided. Participants are expected to place their materials on their assigned poster board during the ten minutes immediately preceding the hour when their poster session is scheduled. All poster sessions end promptly at 50 minutes after the hour in order to provide time for individuals in the next poster session to set up their posters.
In-person presenters will also be able to participate in the virtual poster hall.
NOTE: All in-person presenters and program participants — members, nonmembers, and students — are required to register for APA 2023 and pay the appropriate registration fees. In-person poster presenters are not exempt from this requirement and security guards will be checking badges at entrances.
Virtual
Virtual poster presenters must upload their PDF poster an optional short explainer video to the APA 2023 platform. Log in details and instructions will be provided via email in early July. Virtual-only poster presenters are not required to register for APA 2023 to upload their materials, but are required to register for the virtual event if they want to participate as an attendee.

This term will be used to index sessions in the APA 2023 program and is used by attendees to search for sessions of interest.

APA encourages researchers to use open science practices, and APA 2023 presenters can earn an open science badge for doing so. Badges will be placed next to eligible presentation titles in the APA 2023 program.
- Scheduling Accommodations (optional)
If any of the participants require scheduling accommodations related to religious beliefs or other protected statuses, please provide details. NOTE: We will coordinate all other accommodation requests with participants after sessions have been accepted.

What does "all access" include?
"All access" includes access to all in-person and all virtual convention programs being held in Washington, D.C.
We anticipate about 1,000 sessions to run in-person in Washington, D.C. Attendees can also participate in numerous social and networking events.
Virtual offerings include two simultaneous channels of programs livestreamed from the in-person event. These livestreamed programs will also be made available on demand for three months starting at the end of August. Programming included in the livestreamed/on-demand sessions that has been approved for CE in person will also be eligible for CE credit virtually.
It does not include registration for the separately priced in-person CE Workshops or for CE Session credit fees.
What does "virtual only" include?
We plan to offer two simultaneous channels of livestreamed programs from the in-person event in Washington, D.C. Virtual attendees will be able to watch from either channel Aug. 3-5 and the same programs will be made available on demand for three months starting at the end of August.
