Abstract Submissions
All ASRS member physicians are invited to submit abstracts for the 42nd Annual Meeting, a forum for retina specialists from around the world to share the most recent scientific concepts, techniques, and research. General abstract submissions are open until 11:59 PM Central Time on January 23, 2024.
NOTE: Lead authors must attest to maintain complete control of educational content beginning with abstract submission through upload of the presentation. It is never appropriate for ineligible companies (or advertising, marketing, or communication firms whose clients are ineligible companies) to contact ASRS staff directly.
Abstract limits for lead authors are as follows:
- Regular, International, and Fellow in Training Members: Choose ONE of the following abstract types: Paper/Paper on Demand, First Time Phase 2/Phase 3 Data Presentation, OR poster only. One case: surgical or medical. Two films maximum.
- Ophthalmology Resident Members: One poster abstract.
- Physician Non-members: One poster abstract. Non-members should log onto their ASRS profile (first time users click "Create an Account") to submit a poster abstract.
- Co-authors: There is no limit to the number of abstracts on which an ASRS member may be named as co-author.
NOTE: employees and owners of ineligible companies may not submit abstracts, including posters. Companies that are ineligible to be accredited in the ACCME System (ineligible companies) are those whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients.

NON-MEMBER REGISTRATIONS:
Please note that all non-member registrations will be reviewed and approved by ASRS’s Credentials Committee. Please be sure to complete all of the requested fields regarding the name of your institution/employer, your role, proof of in-training status (if applicable) and a detailed description regarding why you would like to attend the meeting. You will be notified once your registration request has been accepted so that you can proceed to make a payment and secure your space. Live Meeting: The registration fee (regular and corporate) includes name badge, mobile app access with live stream feed and access to recording with CME Credit for one month post-meeting, paper and poster sessions, paper-on- demand offerings, Film Festival, exhibit hall tradeshow, refreshment breaks, and daily lunch.
Virtual Meeting: The registration fee (regular and corporate) includes mobile app access with live stream feed and access to recording with CME Credit for one month post-meeting, as well as papers on demand, films, and e-posters. NOTE: only the scientific symposia in the General Session Room will be live streamed and recorded. The following events will not be available via the live feed:
- Section Breakfasts, Lunches, Receptions
- Poster Q&A and Exhibit Hall Reception
- Business Meeting
- All receptions/dinners
The mobile app (which includes the live stream and abstracts) will be distributed to both live and virtual attendees approximately one week prior to the event. NOTE: abstracts and presentations are never available to the general public.
