The below information is for workshop / scientific session submissions:

• The official workshop template should be used
• You can submit for either a short or long workshop or a scientific session
• Workshops will be held either on Saturday 1 June 2023 or Sunday 2 June 2023
• Scientific sessions will be held between Monday 3 June 2023 and Thursday 6 June 2023

Long workshop parameters

• Long workshops are 4 hours in length
• Workshops must have 1 chairperson and 1-5 speakers 
• A brief description of the workshop (maximum 250 words) is required for evaluation purposes
• The workshop submitter should receive the permission of every speaker/chairperson in their session prior to submission

Short workshop parameters

• Short workshops are 90 minutes in length
• Workshops must have 1 chairperson and 1-4 speakers
• A brief description of the workshop (maximum 250 words) is required for evaluation purposes
• The workshop submitter should receive the permission of every speaker/chairperson in their session prior to submission

Scientific session parameters

• Scientific sessions are 90 minutes in length; however 30 minutes of the session must be kept free for oral abstract presentations
• Sessions must have 1 chairperson and 2-3 speakers
• A brief description of the session (maximum 250 words) is required for evaluation purposes only
• Suggested presentation titles must be included for each speaker
• The session submitter should receive the permission of every speaker/chairperson in their session prior to submission

Dear Colleagues,

The 18th World Congress of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) will be a major event in Sydney, running from the 1st – 6th June 2024. It will be held in conjunction with the 7th Annual Meeting of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (RMSANZ). The Congress will be a forum for the presentation of international research, discovery and innovation in Rehabilitation Medicine. Whilst the major subgroups of clinical endeavour in the field of Rehabilitation Medicine will be covered; the conference will have a focus on the three “T’s” (trauma, technology and timing). Trauma will include motor vehicle accidents, domestic violence and the results of war and natural disasters. Technology will range from personal devices such as phones to robotics, and Timing will explore topics such as Prehabilitation, In-Reach services and when Rehabilitation should end.

The scientific program will include pre-congress practical workshops, plenary sessions and themed sessions with invited speakers and selected free paper presentations. Currently, it is planned for the Congress to be face-to-face with videoconferencing from some of the invited speakers.
