Dermatopathology Fellows submission - Opening July 15, 2024
- Submission Deadline: Tuesday, August 15, 2024 by 11:59 p.m. Eastern
- Notices of abstract acceptance in the Fellows category will be sent out in early-September.
The American Society of Dermatopathology designates this educational activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

About the Call for Abstracts
The ASDP Call for Abstracts offers three categories of abstract submissions for participants interested in presenting their abstract(s) in an educational session at the Annual Meeting.
- The General Abstract category is open to all physicians who practice dermatopathology, including residents and fellows. Abstracts will be selected for either oral or poster presentation.
- The Duel in Dermatopathology category is an oral abstract competition designed especially for residents in dermatology and pathology. Duel abstracts not selected for the competition will be automatically considered for poster presentation.
- The Dermatopathology Fellows Abstract category is open to fellows in a dermatopathology training program. Abstracts will be selected for either oral or poster presentation.
There is no limit on the number of abstracts per submitter. All abstracts should be written with the goal of bringing new or updated information to attendees or providing an organized review of older data. The Abstract Review Committee will select all abstract presentations through a blinded review process. Abstract criteria are subject to annual review.
Abstract Submission Instructions
- Abstracts must be submitted online.
- Abstract content and related materials must promote improvements or quality in healthcare and not a specific proprietary business interest of ineligible companies*.
- Be sure to read the instructions before entering your abstract online.
- Abstract text must not to exceed 250 words.
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
- By submitting an abstract, you agree to make yourself available for the presentation slot to which your abstract is assigned, in the event your abstract is accepted.
- Abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentation will be published to the ASDP website.
- IMPORTANT! Changes cannot be made to your abstract once the submission site (specific to abstract category) has closed. This includes change to authors, title, content, category, and spelling.
- To ensure that you receive notification emails, please add noreply@xcdsystem.com to your address book. If you do not receive a notification, check your spam/junk folder before contacting ASDP. With increased security on institutional email, use of personal email address for notification emails is strongly recommended.
*Ineligible companies are those whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients.
