Dear Colleagues,
It is an honour and pleasure to invite you all to the 10th Congress of the European Academy of Paediatric Societies, EAPS 2024 in Vienna: “Harmony between cutting edge research and clinical care”.
The Congress is organised by the two leading European societies: the European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP), and the European Society for Paediatric Research (ESPR). The combined efforts and talents of the best and brightest minds in paediatrics will make this biannual event a major, leading educational and research platform. We will bring you the latest cutting-edge science and provide attendees with the latest insights and tools that you can bring to your patients, and their families.
In EAPS 2024 we wish to move forward with the best research available today, with a focus on cutting edge science; including the latest in genomics, multi-omics, gene therapy, and machine learning analysis of big data to answer questions which are affected real children in Europe and beyond. We are determined to have an inclusive conference with global representation and contribution. We will explore how these advances can be brought into the clinical to help today’s children: supporting to become the healthy adults of the future. Building on the historic musical history of Vienna our theme for the congress will be to achieve harmony between cutting edge research and real clinical care.
A central feature of the Congress are the free scientific papers presenting new information from all areas of paediatric medicine and child health coming from young and upcoming paediatric stars. These presentations facilitate robust debates, thoughtful conversations, and fruitful collaborations, with the future of our patients and our specialty of paediatrics being brought to the next level. What is more, all accepted abstracts will be published in a peer-reviewed paediatric journal. Mentorship and the development of young researchers is another core theme of the congress.
EAPS 2024 is an excellent platform where you can strengthen, renew existing and make new, life lasting personal and professional relationships. An exciting social and musical programme will also be guaranteed.
The Congress Venue is the Austria Centre in Vienna.
Vienna is a truly exciting city that has numerous facets to explore and enjoy. Please take some relaxing time to find the balance between learning and well-being.
