Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the 56th meeting of the European Pancreatic Club (EPC), a unique opportunity to interact and promote collaboration on research and study of the pancreas.
 
The event will take place in Santiago de Compostela in Spain – a historic town with a strong cultural background always keen to welcome everyone.
 
The capital of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, Santiago, was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO in recognition of its multicultural nature, extraordinary conservation and monumental beauty, in addition to marking the final destination of a thousand-year-old pilgrim route: the Way of St James. Thousands of visitors come in pilgrimage every year trying to reach this finis terrae.

With such rich cultural vibrancy, university tradition, huge legacy and charm, Santiago has much to offer.
