Preparation

For the preparation and online submission of your abstract please make sure to read carefully the following guidelines before proceeding with the preparation and submission of your abstract. When you are ready for the submission, please proceed with the completion of the Online Abstract/Case Submission Form.

Guidelines

• The official language of the Congress will be English, so all abstracts must be prepared, submitted and presented in English.
• The Abstract/Case Submission Form should be completed by the author who will be responsible for all correspondence (correct email is really important).
• Length: Abstracts / Cases (text body) should not exceed 400 words. When a tableis included, then the text body should not exceed 350 words.
• Table(s): Table/diagram/picture should be saved as an image file (jpeg, gif, etc.) before being uploaded (otherwise will not be uploaded successfully). Use of such graphics will automatically reduce the number of words allowed (it should correspond to 50 words and must be included in the limitation of 250 words in order to fit the size of an A4 paper). A maximum of two (2) images can be included per abstract/case. The image(s) will be placed at the bottom of the text in all publications and may be resized to fit in the format of the final printed material.
• Structure: Abstracts / Cases must use the following structured format:

The abstract for original articles should be divided into the following sections:

• Background-Aim
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusions.

In the final version, the text will not be sorted into paragraphs.

The abstract for case reports should be divided into the following sections:

a) Background
b) Case report

Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to announce that from May 15 to 17, 2025, Athens will host the 73rd Annual International Congress of the European Society of Cardio-Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, alongside the prestigious LIVE 2025 - Leading Innovative Vascular Education symposium organized by the Institute of Vascular Diseases, focusing on innovation and education in vascular disorders.

This collaboration builds upon the success of the 2017 event in Thessaloniki, which drew over 600 delegates from Greece and abroad.

In this year’s edition, we are proud to welcome renowned sessions such as the well-known Aortic Live, featuring live broadcasts of surgeries worldwide, and the Houston Aortic Symposium, making its first appearance in Europe.

Over the course of this three-day event at the Royal Olympic Hotel, we will engage with a significant number of esteemed speakers from around the globe, sharing the latest advancements in cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment.

We anticipate a large number of participants, including specialized and training surgeons, cardiologists, general surgeons, and anesthesiologists, all of whom will contribute to fostering international collaboration in our field.

ESCVS & LIVE 2025 will also provide the opportunity to participants to present their research, to exchange ideas and interact with all colleagues that share common interests in cardiovascular field. It also offers the opportunity to establish new collaborations between different centers, as well as to reinforce the existing ones. We encourage you to submit your work and share with us all your research interests. Abstract and Case submission will open on December 1st 2024.

We believe this conference will further highlight the strengths of our scientific community and reinforce the position of our collaboration as a hub of scientific excellence. At the same time, Athens will offer a unique opportunity to explore its ancient heritage and vibrant atmosphere, enriching our experience both professionally and personally.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

• 70% of payment will be refunded before January 1, 2025
• 30% of payment will be refunded before April 20, 2025
• No refund will be made for the cancellation made on and after April 21, 2025
• All cancellation refunds will be made after the congress.
