Costs
There is no charge for submitting an abstract, however all successful authors will need to register to attend the Congress in order to present. Should your abstract be accepted as an ePoster for inclusion within the programme, there will be a nominal fee per ePoster upload in order to be included within the Congress. Full instructions on ePoster submission will be given upon acceptance.
Please remember
Submitting an abstract does not automatically register you as a Congress delegate. Authors must register by the early bird deadline, Sunday 14 July 2024. If the main abstract presenter has not registered for the Congress by this date, the abstract will be withdrawn.
Can I submit work that has been published?
We will only accept abstract submissions of previously unpublished work.
An exception to this case is:
- Your manuscript is submitted for/accepted for publication after the abstract is accepted for the Congress (this must be declared during your presentation at the Congress).
- Abstract published in conference proceedings only (maximum of two other international meetings)
We cannot accept work presented at a previous RCOG World Congress.
What information do I need to submit?
- The full title of your submission (max 12 words)
- Your abstract or case report (max 400 words). For an abstract, you should include the format: objectives, design, method, results and conclusions. For a case report, you should include the format: objective, case study, discussion and conclusion. Permission from all authors, and any patients, to submit the abstract
- Names of all authors
- Affiliations of all authors
- Name and main email address of the lead presenting author
- Subject category which best describes your submission
- Whether you would like your abstract published in BJOG (if it is eligible and accepted for presentation)

- Consultant UK: Specialist GP, SAS Doctor
- Consultant Band A: Consultant practicing in a Band A country
- Trainee: Specialist Trainee, House Officer, Medical Officer, Foundation Year Doctor, PhD Student, Clinical Fellow. To qualify for the Trainee rate, you must upload a proof that you are a Trainee at a recognised educational institution.
- Low-resource country – Band B: Anyone practising in a Band B country listed here is eligible for the Band B low-resource country delegate rate. You are not eligible if you are originally from one of these countries but now practising elsewhere. In this case, you must select the economic country band applicable to where you are currently practicing.
- Low-resource country – Band C: Anyone practising in a Band C country listed here is eligible for the Band C low-resource country delegate rate. You are not eligible if you are originally from one of these countries but now practising elsewhere. In this case, you must select the economic country band applicable to where you are currently practicing.
- Midwife and allied health professional: an official document stating your position, signed by the head of department.
- Medical student: To register as a student, a proof of eligibility (copy of student ID or an official letter from the university confirming that they are a student at the time of registration and for the duration of the congress) is required and must be uploaded during the registration process directly on the platform.
- Press: To register as press, you need to upload your official press card.
