Please note: You must disclose whether you or any of your co-authors have any financial interest in the subject matter of the presentations. Abstracts submitted without this information will not be considered.
All abstracts MUST be submitted in the presenting author’s name.
General Information
- The WCPOS V, 2024 accepts Free Paper, E-Poster and Video submissions.
- All abstracts must be submitted in English via the online abstract submission system only. Submissions by email or any other means will NOT be accepted.
- A maximum of 2 abstract submissions per person is allowed per category (Free Paper, E-Poster, Video).
- All abstracts will be reviewed, graded and accepted or rejected by the WCPOS V, 2024 Organising Committee. The committee reserves the right to determine whether a submission will be accepted as a Free Paper or an E-Poster. The decision of the committee is final.
- If a paper or poster is accepted for presentation, the first author must undertake to present it. The presenter must be a registered delegate at the WCPOS V, 2024 and must pay all the applicable fees.
- All accepted abstracts selected will be posted online at www.wcposV2024.org. The abstract will appear exactly as submitted.
- It is the author’s responsibility to submit an abstract with correct spelling and grammar. The Selection Committee, however, reserves the right to edit the abstract if it has significant spelling and grammatical mistakes.

Preparation of Free Paper and E-Poster
- MAIN AUTHOR and CO-AUTHORS – Type in your name as you want it to appear in the Programme. The First Author will be the presenting author.
- All submitted Free Paper, E-Poster & Video abstracts must be in English and must follow the structured format below:
- Title (no limit to number of words)
- Maximum total words for the below headers (must include headers): 260 words
- Purpose
- Setting / Venue
- Methodology
- Results
- Conclusions
- Financial Disclosure
- You must ensure that you indicate the type of abstract you are submitting (Free Paper / E-Poster / Video).
- The summary of results presented must be given in sufficient detail to support the conclusions.
- The Programme Committee will only accept abstracts with final results or conclusions.
- References and credits cannot be included as part of an abstract.
- Formulae should, in general, be avoided.
- When using abbreviations or acronyms for the first time, care should be taken to spell them out in full with the abbreviation in parentheses after the full word(s) the first time it appears in the text. The abbreviation alone should be used thereafter.
- Indicate whether the presenting author or any co-author has a financial interest in the subject matter or receives money from any mentioned company.
- Any financial interest must be included on the first slide of the presentation.
