ABSTRACT SUBMISSION Deadline 15 January 2026
Dear Colleagues, dear Friends,
I am delighted to invite you to the 12th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology, which will lead us to the charming city of Geneva on 27-30 June 2026.
As a truly international city, right in the heart of Europe, Geneva is the perfect location to hold an international event like the EAN congress. Switzerland’s second largest city has a vibrant and modern atmosphere infused with a strong local identity that values sustainability, offers breathtaking views of the Alps and Lake Geneva, and serves up a fantastic mix of cultural experiences and culinary treats. It’s a city that brilliantly blends peaceful nature and urban energy, with excellent infrastructure and efficient local transport, making it a great place to host a large event like ours, but also a fantastic place to visit and explore.
On this alpine adventure, by the shores of one of Europe’s largest lakes, we will dive deep into the latest developments in the field of neurology, with a very exciting Overarching Theme connecting all invited content of our congress: Brains, Bytes & Beyond: Tech in Neurology. The outsourcing of cognitive capacities from humans to artificial intelligence offers huge opportunities but also significant challenges and risks. In clinical neurology, the impact of computing will range from applications like restorative therapies to the very fundamentals of our profession such as clinical reasoning and decision making. Through this year’s theme, we will explore the extent to which computing is finding its way into neurological practice.
I am already looking forward to reaching this summit of neurological knowledge - within sight of the breathtaking peak of Mont Blanc - and exploring the latest developments and innovations in our specialty with all of you.
On behalf of the EAN Board and the local organising committee: join us in Geneva for the EAN Congress 2026!
Elena Moro, EAN President
