General Policies and Requirements
- The abstract submission deadline is 11:59pm ACDT on Sunday 2 March 2025.
- By submitting an abstract the authors agree to the general policies and requirements as listed on this page.
- All abstract submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The committee may accept or reject abstracts and their decision is final. The outcome of abstract submissions will be emailed in late April 2025.
- Presenting authors are required to register and pay to attend the Congress by Wednesday 16 July 2025. Co-authors are not required to register, but co-presenters are. Presenters that remain unregistered after the deadline may have their submission removed from the program and Congress proceedings.
- Authors can submit up to three abstracts per primary author. The abstract submitter must also be a contributing author.
- Following abstract acceptance, a paper may be submitted should authors choose to do so.
- If the abstract is selected for inclusion in the program, consent is provided for the presentation slides, video, audio recording and photos taken during the presentation to be used and published by the host organisations. This includes being provided to delegates of the Congress.
- Online submission is the only method for submitting abstracts for the IUPESM World Congress 2025.
Submitting an abstract
- Select the preferred presentation format. Please note that the final allocated format will be at the discretion of the Scientific Committee. The Congress will endeavour to accommodate preferred formats but this cannot be guaranteed.
- Provide the abstract title to match the submitted abstract. The first word in the title should be capitalised as should any proper nouns (sentence case).
- ALL CAPS should not be used.
- Abbreviations and acronyms can be capitalised as required.
- The abstract body should not exceed 300 words. It should define the precise subject of the presentation to the audience.
- Use standard abbreviations only. When using abbreviations spell out the name in full at the first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parentheses. Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the abstract.
- Add the details of all author(s) as required. Indicate a presenting author using the Yes/No slider.
- Select the relevant theme for the submission. If the abstract fits into more than one theme, please select the one that is most relevant.
